41: At NAMM With Deer Park Ave and Auburn Road-How They Dominate The Music Industry

Stephanie and Sarah Snyder of Deer Park Avenue performing at the Audix Microphone booth during the 2017 NAMM Show.

Episode 41 of my podcast goes on location to the NAMM Convention in Anaheim, CA to interview two outstanding female music groups;  Deer Park Avenue and Auburn Road!

My first stop is at the Dixon Drums booth to interview the sister duo Deer Park Avenue.  Sarah and Stephanie Snyder have started their band in 2011.  Sarah plays guitar (endorsed by Epiphone) and lead vocals, while Stephanie plays the drums (endorsed by Dixon Drums) and sings back up vocals – both are also endorsed by Audix Microphones. Entrepreneurs, the sisters share with me how life has been like on the road, and as women how they dominate the music industry – and touch on their side hustle of marketing/social media.

Myki with Kristen Brown (18), Alicia Paulson (18), and Paxton Martin (17) of Auburn Road at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel after our interview.

My next stop was at the Hilton Hotel in Anaheim, California during the NAMM Convention to interview the dynamic, Country Pop trio Auburn Road!  I sit down with Kristen Brown (18), Paxton Martin (17), and Alicia Paulson (18) to catch up with them on how their visit to NAMM has been.  I interviewed these ladies in studio back in May 2016 (click HERE to listen to THAT episode).  The ladies share with me how they overcome objectification and obstacles as young women in the music industry.  Grounded, classy, talented, and beautiful, Auburn Road also talk about their new venture into learning to play instruments, and the importance of connecting on a personal level with their fans and followers.
